Why become eco friendly?

Saving the planet or taking care of the environment is not really my thing. I honestly don’t care about what happens globally as long as nothing happens to my family, my home and the ones I love. The fact is that I don’t have time for this, as every single minute of my time has been devoted to making money and as per me the world is anyways going to end and at least if I have enough money, then I will have the things that I want to have.

The festive holidays are a pretty wasteful time of year in general; all those crazy displays of electric lights on houses; rolls and rolls on non-recycled wrapping paper under the tree; and don’t get me started on all the food we end up throwing out each year! It seems that people who would normally be the first to pick up every green advice leaflet from display stands during the other 11 months of the year turn into greedy, wasteful consumers at Christmas.
